Army of Ages Walkthrough

Army of Ages is a war game where players will take their armies from the stone age to modern technology and beyond. This strategy game features exceptional graphics, epic music, a plethora of units, fifteen achievements, and four difficulty levels.

The goal of Army of Ages is to defend humanity against invading aliens. In terms of gameplay, this means defending your base and destroying that of your enemy! This war game has four difficulty levels: easy, normal, hard, and insane. If this is your first time playing, then I advise you to play on the easy difficulty level. Your progress is saved locally in one of three slots that you choose at the beginning of the game. If you have an Armor Games account, then you can save your progress and access it using any computer in the world!

Army of Ages is primarily controlled by the mouse, but keyboard controls are also employed. The mouse is used to interact with the game's interface and to select units and structures. You may also use the spacebar as a shortcut to select your base. The arrow keys are used to scroll the map. A detailed tutorial is available the first time that you play this war game which will help you to learn and practice the basic controls.

Evolution is the key to success in Army of Ages. When your units kill enemy units, you will gain experience as indicated by a blue bar in the upper-left corner of the game's interface. When this bar is full, you have two choices: evolution or casting a powerful special attack against your foes. Evolution is generally the best choice since it will increase the power of your units and structures. This choice also removes your current army and buildings from the battlefield, however, so it may not be the best choice in heated battles. Special attacks are good to devastate your enemies and get you out of tough situations. A good rule of thumb in this war game is to try to keep your army's level of evolution at least one step above that of your enemy.
