Castle Commander Walkthrough
Castle Commander is a strategy game taking place in the fictional land of Davana. The king is dead and the land is sinking! As the heir to the throne, it is your mission to lead your people to the safety of higher ground. In terms of gameplay, this means capturing castles (fifteen in all) from your enemies.
You can choose to play as one of four color-coded factions in Castle Commander. The Blue forces are armed with spears, the Red forces are armed with axes, the Brown forces are armed with war hammers, and the Purple forces are armed with scythes. This means absolutely nothing as the different factions are balanced in this war game. Just choose your favorite color and get started on your conquest!
The goal of Castle Commander is to capture all castles on each level. Castles are captured by moving troops next to them. Over time, the castle will be captured and you will gain control over it. Friendly units automatically spawn from castles that are under your control, so having more castles than your enemy will give you a numerical advantage on the battlefield. Numbers alone do not assure victory in this war game, but outnumbering the enemy does make things easier.
After each mission in Castle Commander, you will be able to use gold earned during the mission to purchase additional spells and upgrades to the spells that you already have. Spells and upgrades cost a flat five hundred coins. If you need more money for upgrades, you can replay previously-beaten levels to earn more. I advise you to max out your spells before advancing to the next level if you have the time.
In essence, Castle Commander is a scaled-down RTS game. You won't have to worry about harvesting resources or tech trees like in StarCraft or Command and Conquer, making the game have an appeal to casual gamers while still requiring a level of tactical know-how. Children may also enjoy this war game due to its colorful graphics and simple controls.
