Energy Invaders Walkthrough

Earth is not the only planet where war breaks out over resources. In Energy Invaders, a Flash strategy game, you command an army on a distant planet with the mission of acquiring energy and destroying your enemies! This war game features detailed graphics, numerous upgrades, and twelve achievements.

The goal of Energy Invaders is to overwhelm your enemies and destroy their base while preventing them from doing the same to you! You are given a hero unit at the start of each mission to help you to accomplish this goal, but you will also have to train troops if you want to establish numerical superiority. If your hero unit dies, this does not constitute a game over; your other units can carry the battle, and your hero will respawn over time. Once you have destroyed the enemy base, you will be able to move on to the next level. Your progress is automatically saved, so you can continue from where you left off the next time that you play.

You are awarded medals at the end of each level of Energy Invaders for each submission that you complete. These medals can be used to purchase upgrades for your forces. Hover your mouse over each upgrade for additional details. I advise upgrading your ranged units first, but your playing style may dictate a different upgrade doctrine. If you need more medals to buy upgrades, remember that you can replay levels that you have beaten in this war game to earn any medals that you missed the first time.

If you are used to real-time strategy games such as StarCraft, then controlling Energy Invaders will be a cinch. The mouse is used to select units, issue orders, build, and interact with the game's interface, while the arrow keys are used to scroll the map. To build towers, click on the tower icon at the bottom of the screen, then click on terrain. Towers are like a cross between Protoss pylons (from StarCraft) and Tesla coils (from Command and Conquer: Red Alert). Towers will automatically zap enemies that get within range, provide energy to build more units and structures, and allow you to train troops or build within their radii. Veterans of the RTS genre may hate to use the cheap tactic of building up to the enemy's base, but it is a necessary tactic in this war game!

Energy Invaders is an amazing strategy game that can conveniently be played in your web browser! Unfortunately, this war game does not have a multiplayer mode, but its singleplayer campaign will certainly keep players entertained!
