Island Colonizer is an excellent shoot 'em up style action war game in which the island you love is under attack by colonizers who want to take control of the island and use it for their own greedy purposes. It is your job to defend your island and destroy the colonizers before they can succeed. It isn't an easy job to accomplish. You're inundated by enemies almost immediately and fending them off can be quite a task. The real goal of the game for a beginner is to defend your land as long as possible against the soldiers attacking you from the helicopters, but it's more or less a suicide mission. You're going to be killed eventually, but last as long as you can to get the highest score you can get. This game isn't about taking all of your enemies out and moving to a higher level, even though there are higher stages in the game. It's about getting a high score which is one of the things that sets this game apart from most of the other action war games online. The challenge is all in trying to get a high score and getting further than you did the game before. More advanced players or those with more experience in this kind of game, will have a bit of an easier time getting to new stages, but even skilled players will find the game challenging from beginning to end. This of them as the enemy bases you would find in more traditional action war games, except in this game, you don't need to destroy them to win. You'll find health packs as you go, but these are completely random and sometimes, if you're in the midst of a heated battle, even a health pack won't help you a whole lot. It's still well worth playing, though. Even though the game is hard, it isn't impossible to improve. As you play, you'll get better. You'll learn better ways to attack your enemies. You'll learn what weapons work best. You'll learn the best ways to defend yourself. Eventually, you will need to take out the helicopters if you want to keep playing, but focus on the soldiers first. If you can get ahead of the soldiers, even your basic gun will be enough to inflict significant damage on the helicopters and eventually take them out.

Overall, Island Colonizer is an excellent action war game simply because it is so challenging. In addition, the graphics in the game are great; some of the best you'll find in this genre. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into how this game would look which isn't something that can be said for most action war games. The premise is simple, the controls are easy to understand, the game looks professional but runs smoothly and the game itself is challenging. Beginners will likely have a hard time even getting passed the first level but they'll still have fun going for a high score. More experienced players, on the other hand, will love the graphics and the challenge presented by the game. This game offers something for every war game fan and is well worth playing at least once.
