Valkyrie: Battlefield Walkthrough

In Valkyrie: Battlefield you take on the role of a mechanical suit pilot that has the task of battling wave after wave and level after level of increasingly difficult enemies in an attempt to survive the war. It isn't an easy game, but it is, without a doubt, one of the most engrossing and addictive action war games online. The graphics are especially good for the genre and the customization options for your Valkyrie are impressive. The first few levels start off easy and allow you the chance to get used to the controls of the game while not being so easy more experienced players of action war games will be bored by them. As you progress though, things get much more difficult. Beginners might have a bit of a hard time getting passed the beginning of the game, but with time and practice they should be able to improve. The great thing about this game is that getting good might take practice but even practice is a lot of fun with a game this entertaining.

The only way to do well in Valkyrie: Battlefield is to pay attention to your surroundings and tread carefully as you walk throughout the arena. This isn't a game you can rush though. Carefully customize your mechanical suit to optimize it for battle. Pay attention to all of the options you have and take the time to look at the specs to find the best options for each of your weapons. While it's pretty difficult to fail the first level, things get much more difficult quickly and you'll find yourself wishing you'd taken the time to better customize your suit for battle. Also make sure you remember you can switch weapons if need be; firing only with your left arm weapon, your right arm weapon, your back loaded weapon, only your two arm weapons or all of your weapons at once. Each technique is good for different situations. Take a little time to figure out what each weapon can do and try to determine what circumstance that weapon would work best for. It might take a little time to figure all of that out, but have patience. It's worth it.

The real treat of Valkyrie: Battlefield can be found by clicking 'History' on the main menu. Take a few moments to read each of the chapters, although if you're a slow reader you might have to try reading them a few times as they scroll fairly quickly, to learn more about what has lead to the situation you find yourself in at the beginning of the game. You'll learn more about why the Valkyries were created and how they have been used. This interesting story provides you with enough background to make the game more intriguing than it already is. I'd recommend checking out the history before you begin playing the game. It gives the game a whole new dimension that's missing in many of the more action based war games. While this game is certainly full of action, it will also please those who like a little story with their violence. Of course, the best part of the history is that if you're just looking for a bit of war game action, you can just skip it entirely and choose play from the main menu.

Overall, Valkyrie: Battlefield is one of the few action war games that offers something for every war game fan regardless of experience or skill level. Even though newcomers to the genre will have a hard time getting passed the first few levels in the beginning, with a little patience they will be able to do much better. More experienced players will love the fact that the game dares to break away from the traditional mold and offers a unique and interesting challenge. Even those that like games that offer an interesting story will be able to find what they are looking for in this game. The only real problem with the game is that it only uses the standard 'wasd' controls instead of also offering an option to use the arrow keys so those that have a hard time with 'wasd' will take a little longer to get used to playing the game. Give it some time and a little patience though. It's a great game that's definitely worth the time you'll spend playing.
