Warfare 1944 Walkthrough
Warfare 1944 is an engrossing online war game that challenges you to defeat your enemies and survive to fight another battle. With many challenging battles to tackle, a variety of squad types and excellent upgrades, this is a war game that will keep you playing level after level. It isn't an easy game and for some newcomers to the world of war games, it's going to be a bit too complicated in the beginning, but stick with it and you will find your strategy improving and you'll find yourself winning battles more often. This is the second game in the Warfare series and is a more than adequate follow up to the original, sticking to the basic premise and controls of the original game while improving in areas the predecessor was weak. If you haven't played the original game, Warfare 1917, give it a shot before you tackle this one. It will give you a good idea of how this game is played, allow you to strengthy your strategizing skills and will also help you appreciate the changes between the two games more. Although newcomers will struggle in the beginning, this game is far too much fun to pass up. Keep playing. You'll get the hang of it.
Warfare 1944 is fairly different from most of the other war games online even though the basic premise is the same. The goal of the game is to defeat the enemies that are attacking your base but, unlike most of the other war games and even the original game in this series, this one has added the fun of mission objectives. While in most missions, you'll be required to defeat your enemy, some missions will simply require you to hold off the enemies for a certain amount of time or defeat your enemies using an alternative battle method. You will be shown you objective before your mission and in order to complete that mission, you will need to complete the objective, so make sure you pay attention.
In Warfare 1944, there are two ways you are able to defeat your enemy; get at least one unit to the end of the middle deploy zone or destroy the enemy's morale. Destroying morale is the easiest way to take out your enemy, at least in the beginning of the game, because there are so many different ways to do it. First, you can deplete enemy morale by simply outnumbering them. Getting that done is fairly simple. Start by deploying as many soldiers as possible. Once you've deployed all of your soldiers, look at how many soldiers you enemy has deployed. Keep deploying more units, being careful to stay ahead of your enemy. Watch for your soldiers to be killed during battle and send new soldiers in their place. You can also deplete enemy morale by killing a large number of your enemy's troops. You can do this either with a large number of troops or with advanced or upgraded weapons. This one is a bit harder to pull off, but it's also more effective. Moving your troops past your enemy's top or bottom flanks will also hurt their morale, but this is a move that should be saved for more experienced players as it can be kind of difficult.
Each time you deploy a unit of soldiers in Warfare 1944, you will use resources. This is fairly common in online war games but is something that was missing from the original game. The need to keep an eye on your resources and ration them makes the game quite a bit more difficult than the original but also makes it a lot more engrossing. While many experienced players will find Warfare 1917 a bit too easy, this one definitely makes up for that lack of challenge. The best way to make sure you have the resources you need for the duration of the battle is to release a large number of troops initially and then only deploy more troops when you absolutely need them. As time passes, your resources will be replenished, so only releasing more troops when you need them will allow that supply to grow and will ensure you have the resources you need when you need them.
Upgrades are also of vital important in Warfare 1944 as they are in most online war games. Without upgrading your units, you won't be able to get through some of the tougher battles later in the game. Start upgrading as soon as you can so you'll have the upgrades you need when the difficulty level starts rising. Look at all of the upgrades available to you and decide what you feel will be the most useful. It's also a good idea to pick out upgrades you want to purchase in the future and save upgrade points so you can get them. While you might miss out on getting some of the lesser upgrades in the meantime, having that upgrade you really need is far better than having a bunch of upgrades that don't offer as much benefit. You earn upgrade points for completing your missions quickly and efficiently as well as for killing enemies so the better you do in a mission, the more upgrade points you'll be able to earn.
Warfare 1944 maintains one of the best features of the original game - the custom battle option. With the custom battle option you have control over how difficult your battle will be. If you're a newcomer to war games, you can use the custom battle mode to familiarize yourself with what the game will be asking of you and to help you develop your war strategy. More experienced players can focus on making an incredibly difficult battle that will offer them a challenge they may not find in the meat of campaign mode. Regardless of which way you choose to go, the option to create your own custom battle is one of the most exciting aspects of the game and will offer something for players of skill or experience level. Offering three difficulty settings (recruit, regular, hardened), three AI settings for your enemy attackers (aggressive, defensive, balanced), nine different maps and the option to play with either specific units and support weapons available or the option to play with all unit and support weapons, you have control over every aspect of the battle.
The best way to do well in Warfare 1944 is to find a good strategy and stick with it. Snipers are extremely useful, but they're also easy for the enemy to take out. Keep your sniper behind cover as often as you can and be prepared to send another sniper into battle right away should your man be taken out. Assault teams are best used to take out heavy infantry, so try to be sure you have enough resources when heavy infantry becomes a problem in the game. In addition, look at the area of your defense that is the weakest and look for upgrades that will strengthen that weak point. Finally, one of the best combinations you can use in the game is the tank and bazooka combination. Every time you deploy a tank, place a bazooka man near that tank. This will make your tank last longer and help you do more damage with it; greatly reducing the amount of time it takes for you to destroy your enemy.
Overall, Warfare 1944 is an excellent war game that more than lives up to the reputation of the original game in the series. It offers everything you could ever want in a war game - challenging battles, great upgrades and excellent support weapons. The addition of mission objectives allows you to have goals to strive for which makes the game even more engrossing. Whether you're a skilled and experienced war game player or are just starting out in the genre, this game will offer something you'll enjoy. Although it can get a bit stale after playing for a long time, you'll still be able to have fun with it. This is a must play game for any fan of online war games.
