Warzone Tower Defense Extended Walkthrough
Warzone Tower Defense Extended is one of the most unique, engrossing and intense tower defense war games online. While it isn't necessarily what you would expect when looking for a tower defense war game it definitely won't disappoint. Instead of following the typical premise of putting you on top of a tower shooting down at the enemies attacking you, this game dares to do something a little differently. In this game, you are in the center of a warzone and you are under attack. You need to protect yourself by building the strongest line of defense you can build with the credits you have to spend. It is one of the most difficult games of its kind simply because you encounter many different kinds of enemy vehicles of varying strengths and you really need to be prepared for just about anything. While in the beginning the game is fairly simple, it gets much more difficult very quickly. As more and more enemies approach, you have to race to keep up with them. In addition, you need to make sure you don't run out of credits. You can't buy or upgrade weapons without credits and you don't want to leave yourself unprepared.
The basic premise of the game may be simple, but new comers to tower defense war games that follow a map instead of the traditional format might have a bit of a hard time understanding what's expected them. In Warzone Tower Defense Extended, you are given a map and at the beginning you are the only craft showing on that map. Enemies are going to approach from the right side of the screen and follow one of the paths on the way to their target - you. What makes this more difficult than other map based tower defense games is that you aren't being attacked by a single line of enemies. Instead, you can be attacked by two lines of enemies taking a different path along the track. You need to head them off in both directions as best as you can. If you allow them to pass, it will be much harder for you to defend yourself without getting overwhelmed by enemies. The goal is also pretty basic - don't die. The only real goal of the game is to survive as long as you can, play again and then try to survive longer. The real fun of the game is all about challenging yourself to beat your own high score which will take strategy, thinking and a little bit of practice, but when the game is this much fun, practice is never a problem.
To build and place weapons on the map in Warzone Tower Defense Extended, you simply need to click one of the weapons in the panel at the bottom left of the screen. Each weapon has its own strengths and weakness so think about what you want to buy before you buy it. You only have a limited number of credits in the beginning of the game so spend them carefully. Buy only what you need to take out your enemies. There aren't nearly as many when you first begin and you earn credits for each enemy you destroy. Spending conservatively will help you build up credits to better defend yourself when things start getting difficult. You can continue to buy and place weapons on the map even as waves of enemies are attacking, so if you feel you are in danger of being overwhelmed, take a look at your credits and see what you can afford for weapons. Even the cheapest ones will work for back up.
The best way to get ahead in Warzone Tower Defense Extended is to cover the entrances where enemies will be entering well and with less expensive weapons. Machine guns are great here. They offer rapid fire, they're inexpensive (the cheapest weapon), they deliver a fair bit of damage and they work on land and air vehicles. Partner machine guns and flame throwers together to take out your enemies even faster. To find out more information about a weapon - how many credits it costs, it's strengths, it's weaknesses - simply click on the weapon you're interested in and look for the information on the right. Pay attention to reload time. Some weapons that deliver a lot of hit points take a longer time to reload. While delivering a lot of hit points are good, they might not do much good in close range combat. Many weapons can be upgraded once they've been purchased. Upgrades do cost credits but most times are worth it. Keep an eye on the bottom of the screen for the upgrade button, click it and then choose your upgrade.
Overall, Warzone Tower Defense Extended is an excellent, engrossing and addictive map based tower defense game that will challenge you to use your brain and to think fast to find the right solution to the problem at hand. This isn't a typical war game by any means which is a big part of what makes it so appealing. Newcomers to this sort of game might have a bit of a hard time getting the hang of it, but with a little time they'll be able to find a good strategy that works for them. If you're having a hard time, check out the in game instructions by choosing 'instructions' on the main menu page. That'll help a lot. More experienced players will love the challenge the game presents and the unique options that aren't offered in other war games that follow the same basic premise. This is an excellent game that offers something for everyone and it well worth the time spent playing.
